Heidi is an award-winning photographer.

Her work has been featured in national and international publications including: USA Today, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, ABC News, NBC News, Yahoo News, People MagazineGood Housekeeping.com, Stern (Magazine, Germany), Metro (Newspaper, UK).

Heidi's career in photojournalism has combined her two primary interests: photography and history.

From a young age, she could often be found at her childhood home in Wilmette, Illinois, running around with her parents’ point-and-shoot camera. Heidi’s family always encouraged her interest. Whether directing stuffed animals during fashion shoots or making still-life photographs of the line of shoes next to the back door, she loved taking pictures.

As a child, Heidi was drawn to photography for one simple reason: by making a picture she was able to document a moment in time. Since her parents have moved to a new neighborhood, Heidi treasures finding those old photographs of her favorite clothes hanging in the closet or the way the fireplace looked during the holidays.

Heidi enrolled in her first photography class while a freshman at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, and she was hooked. Wanting to pursue photography and a developing interest in the media, she attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Over the years, Heidi has pursued her career and her passion. In every city she has worked, each community has welcomed her and Heidi has been honored to document their local history.
